In this coming of age tale, John Wayne plays a young man whose father is brutally murdered in his Pony Express Company Office by a gang of outlaws. Wayne tracks down the gang on horseback, only to be wounded by them. Near death, he is nursed back to health by a young woman, and they fall in love. However, The Duke can't settle down until he tracks down the killers and brings them to justice.
